UK-based gaming company, William Hill, has signed an agreement with the Plaza Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas to provide mobile sports betting and a betting kiosk. The agreement comes less than a month after William Hill received their Nevada Gaming license. The Plaza Hotel and Casino is operated by Play LV.
William Hill already operates the Lucky’s Race and Sports Book at the Plaza Hotel and the racing and sportsbook assets of the Sierra Development Company, since it acquired American Wagering Incorporated, Brandywine Bookmaking for approximately $53 million. It had been the operator since 2008.
“We have had a long partnership with Lucky’s Race and Sports Book at the Plaza Hotel and Casino,” commented Tony Santo, Play LV President. “Our customers have come to expect a high level of customer service and the commitment of William Hill to cutting-edge technology will only improve our customers’ experiences.”
In accordance with Nevada licensing approval, Plaza Hotel and Casino customers will have access to William Hill mobile sports wagering applications via their iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry mobile handsets. William Hill recently released an updated version of the app for iPhone and iPad.
“As the oldest continuously operating sportsbook in Las Vegas, the book at the Plaza Hotel and Casino has a rich history and terrific reputation as a cornerstone of the property since 1975,” commented Joe Asher, US Chief Executive Officer for William Hill.
“The Plaza Hotel and Casino race and sportsbook is known for its terrific customer service and wagering product. We look forward to enhancing the experience with an even better wagering product and great technology.”
“Play LV Gaming and Tamares have done a remarkable job transforming the property and we look forward to continuing to provide the best race and sportsbetting experience in downtown Las Vegas for many years to come.”
