London-based betting exchange and online gaming operator, Betfair, has released a native Android app with enhanced features and functions. The Android v2.0 app has been especially customized for the Linux-based operating system while building on ‘recent intuitive interfaces’ from its iPhone and iPad apps.
Betfair has emphasized the ‘highly responsive look and feel’ and ‘superior visual home screen’ of the app. It offers unique features such as market view enhancements, price graphs and the Cash Out tool.
“This is another exciting launch for Betfair, which again highlights the benefit of our Silicon Valley Development Center who have work around the clock to build a product that is very engaging and reflects the needs of our customers and business,” commented Raj Vemulapalli, Vice President for Mobile at Betfair.
“Due to the popularity of the Android platform, this app will provide a huge number of existing and potential Betfair customers with a fundamentally improved experience. This product is another example of how Betfair is leading the way in mobile gaming.”
The app provides a range of impressive features such as the ability to re-sort modules for football, tennis and horse racing. It offers live score information, market graphs, market depth information, in-line betting and the ability to bookmark markets. Players also have real time access to their P&L and What If for a more complete in-line betting experience.
“This app will build on the already formidable performance of our mobile division, which recorded £22.7 million in revenues in fiscal year 2012 and saw a 122 percent increase in the number of bets placed. We have already seen the benefits of significant product investment with our new native iPhone and iPad applications winning industry awards and featuring in wider reviews like the Sunday Times Top 500 Apps and a Best of British Apps report in association with UK Trade and Industry,” said Vemulapalli.
